FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA, Sep 30, 2010 – ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions, has introduced a new line of ASCO Intrinsically Safe (IS) solenoid valves with improved performance and a wide variety of electrical connections. The new valves are ideal for process applications in the refining, upstream oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and power generation industries.

The new solenoid valves can now be used on supervisory current applications. Its robust design works with standard instrument air and does not require special air filtration while providing highly reliable operating performance.  The same valves are designed for installations on both intrinsically safe and non-incendive field wiring. The new Intrinsically Safe solenoid valves come standard with Class H coil insulation for high ambient temperature requirements.  In addition, this new line offers the industry’s broadest range of flow, temperature, and pressure ratings.

Available with ATEX, IECEx, FM, and CSA approvals and is SIL-3 capable to meet global requirements.
